Whilst the 'Australian Darth Maul' is beautiful and extremely popular, it is actually very different to the original Darth Maul. The True Darth Maul is actually slow growing and more difficult to keep. Though it doesn't seem obvious to some, the pattern is clearly different due to the fact that it has defined rings and stripes unlike the Australian Darth maul which is a random speckling of red.
