Approx. 4cm frag.
Gorgonians or sea fans are generally very difficult to keep alive in home aquariums. This is because the majority of species are non-photosynthetic, meaning they obtain nutrition through plankton rather than light. Most aquarium cannot provide the amount of food required whilst also maintaining suitable water quality.
There are, however, some hard to find species of Gorgonian, such as these frags, which are photosynthetic and will thrive in a well kept home aquarium.
The colours are not spectacular but they provide a unique and iconic shape to a reef which is rarely possible to obtain.
